My work experience here at We’re All About Marketing has been exceptional and more than I could have asked for from an internship.
Through my experience at WAAM I was able to obtain a more hands on approach to the things I had learned while at University. I am in my third year of University and am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Marketing. I always valued the knowledge from my various professors but had yearned for the opportunity to actually apply it in the real world. WAAM was that opportunity and for that I will be forever grateful.
Susanna gave me a lot of control of the tasks that were assigned to me and I never could have imagined that I would be working on marketing plans, social networking plans or branding strategies. I developed a whole new love and perception of the field of Marketing which I intend to apply to my studies back home. The WAAM staff was excellent and really took the time to explain everything to me that I had questions with.
I really did feel like part of the team and as an equal. I believe that WAAM also helped me build on my confidence of having a real world job as well by placing me in a setting where I was accountable for the completion and quality of my work. Susanna and the rest of the team had the same exceptions from me as they had the rest of the team and that only made me want to work harder and gain even more insight into the industry.
My internship at WAAM really did help me grow as a professional and I want to extend my appreciation to the whole WAAM Team. I will be sure to keep in contact and I wish WAAM only the best.
